Position: Data Scientist

Description

IdealSeat, the Fan Intelligence™️ platform, is seeking a Data Scientist to scale our offering to all sports and music genres. You will take ownership of our key data products and directly influence our technology strategy.

 

We at IdealSeat, a B2B Experience Recommendation Engine, work for customers including the Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Storm, ASU, and many more. We are a team of highly innovative and experienced professionals who are increasing sales and the fan experience in a $40 Billion market. Our ideal candidate is a collaborative, statistically-minded and entrepreneurial Data Scientist who is excited to dig-in with a talented group of Founders, Advisors, and Investors.

 

Since our founding, we have collected and analyzed hundreds of millions of data points about the fan experience in professional and collegiate sports, where we currently have products in market. IdealSeat Data Scientists are focused on collecting and analyzing data with our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning systems, while assisting with our expansion into new sports and music genres.

 

This position is six-month contract, with the opportunity to become a full-time employee with stock options, and based in Seattle. We have a flexible work environment and allow for work both from our Pioneer Square office and from home. We have excellent perks including attending many sport and music events in Seattle.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or similar degree in a quantitative field including data science certificates
  • Experience with a programming language (Python, R, Stata), data modeling, and common database query syntax (SQL)
  • Background in probability and statistics, familiarity with common statistical methods
  • 2+ years analyzing and interpreting data
  • Excellent collaboration skills, and comfortable in start-up environment
  • Knowledge of obscure sport and music statistics a big plus

Our ideal candidate is a collaborative, product-minded and entrepreneurial Full Stack Engineer who is excited to dig-in with a talented group of Founders, Advisors, and Investors.

IdealSeat Full Stack Engineers are focused on leading the development of our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning driven dashboards for our customers, while assisting with our expansion into new sports and music genres.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or similar degree in a computer sciences such as a Certificate in Web Development
  • Experience working with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements
  • Proficient experience using advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS, D3, NodeJS, Typescript, etc.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, and comfortable in start-up environment
  • Knowledge of obscure sport and music statistics a big plus

Our ideal candidate is a collaborative, UX-minded and entrepreneurial Product Manager who is excited to dig-in with a talented group of Founders, Advisors, and Investors.

IdealSeat Product Managers are focused on leading the development of our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning driven dashboards for our customers, while assisting with our expansion into new sports and music genres.

  • Work experience in a product management or undergraduate degree with PM certificate
  • Demonstrated passion for Artificial Intelligence and proficiency with analytic tools and dashboards that answer business and consumer-facing questions
  • Self-starter who can use the resources and people around him to lead product initiatives
  • Communicate product requirements to development team through UX/UI research, technical specification documents, storyboards, and workflow diagrams
  • Work with development team to translate product requirements into deliverables
  • Knowledge of obscure sport and music statistics a big plus
